It's that time of year again. . . . We love comic cons and other bookish/nerdy conventions, and we were able to reserve tables at three of them for this summer! The first one was this past Sunday, June 12th: the Pulp Fiction con in Westlake, Ohio. Oscar and I (Sarah) had a lot of fun selling Thinklings' books and other cool merch!
Another great aspect of these conventions is that we get to meet other local writers/publishers/artists and network with them. Trade tips and stories and make new friends! I got some ideas on how to improve my book displays for next time.
I also found out about a semi-local literary festival I hadn't heard of before, which will be held in October. I'm going to try to get a table at the book fair there. Overall, it was a fun day! I should have taken more pictures, but I got wrapped up in the nerdy vibes and chatting. There was an hourly prize drawing, and I gave away a copy of my book, Hunter's Moon, to a lucky winner. (I hope he considered himself lucky! ;) Next up is the Akron-Summit Comic Con on June 26th, which is probably a bigger convention than this one, and I will try to take more pictures there! I'll leave you with this one of my handsome hubby, Oscar, and his cute dimples:
