Well, we've reached another milestone and thought we'd keep the "yearly recap" blog post tradition going! It encourages us, motivates us, and helps renew our focus. So read on for our highlights of 2022. . . . September 1, 2022: Our tenth book, and second literary work, The Blessed, was released. Author Remy Apepp utilizes haunting, evocative imagery to explore themes like what it means to be blessed or cursed. An unreliable narrator starts the story, with brief glimpses of his past interspersed, hinting at what's to come. But it is only in the second half of the book that we see why these events unfolded and what has really been going on. Prism Review and Quiet Fury Books gave The Blessed glowing reviews! November 15, 2022: Our eleventh book, and first Book 3 in a series, The Narrative, was released. The Disposables' epic quest is now 3/4 finished, with stakes rising sharply and the plot plunging toward its dramatic conclusion! Author Katherine Vick continues to show amazing talent for delivering super-funny content with a deep underlying message. Read author Darcia Helle's praise for this book here. See below for news about Book 4! In August, the first season of our Kindle Vella story, The Midnight Files by Deborah J. Natelson, was completed, and in September season two began posting! Look for a new episode each Sunday. "Odd couple" agents Daisy and Lawrence continue to battle supernatural incursions while feeling each other out for weaknesses to exploit. Will they ever fully trust each other? We continued all year, twice a month, to produce fantastic (and sci-fi-ish) book recommendation lists in our newsletter. Our Redbubble store also gained more than a dozen new awesome nerdy and book-lover designs! On the social-media front, we started our TikTok channel full of fun videos and many more great book recommendations. Also in 2022, Skate the Thief surpassed our goal of 50 and reached 62 ratings/reviews! That's AMAZING, and we hope that people will continue to spread the word about all our books and about how crucial Amazon reviews are! Finally, this past year was the year of the comic con! Not only was Sarah, our COO, able to sell our books at three of those - these two in June and one in July - but she snagged a table at a literary festival in October as well. Many books were sold, much fun was had, and some great connections were made! Looking into the future: What's next for Thinklings? We have three books coming out this year: The Taskmaster in June (the epic final volume of the Plot Bandits "trilogy"), Skate the Seeker in September (sequel to Jeff Ayers's Skate the Thief), and The Star-Crossed Pelican in December (sequel to Laura Ruth Loomis's The Cosmic Turkey). We continue to try new things, grow, and learn new skills, and we're ready to make 2023 a fantastic year! What was your favorite thing about 2022? What are you looking forward to this year?
