For every book we release, we'll be sure to post a review of it during the week before the book comes out. Our next book, The Blessed by Remy Apepp, comes out on September 1st. This review comes from Betty Christie.

Every time we release a book, we’ll post an interview with its author during the month before the book is published. Our next novel, The Blessed, comes out on September 1st. The Blessed is a sequel to Sand to Glass, although the books don’t have to be read in order. Like Sand to Glass, it is a dark literary fantasy, and we are interviewing Remy Apepp, who loves to dig deeply into characters’ psyches.
It's summer, and we're in the mood for funny and light-hearted books! Most people might not think of fantasy and sci-fi books as "the perfect beach read," but we think they can be. So when you're grabbing your sunblock, towel, and flip-flops, don't forget some reading material!
For this blog post, we polled all of the Thinklings authors on what books are the absolute funniest ones they've ever read. We got recommendations of fantasy, sci-fi, and more. Here they are, in no particular order: Our third and final (for now) comic con was this past weekend! Sarah and Oscar hit the road, traveling a little farther this time, and stayed overnight in the hotel where the two-day event was held. The Mahoning Valley Comic Con was great fun, and full of cosplayers. See pictures below!
Two cons down, and one more coming up next month! Sarah and Oscar sold our books at the Akron-Summit Comic Con this past Sunday, and they had a blast!
It's that time of year again. . . . We love comic cons and other bookish/nerdy conventions, and we were able to reserve tables at three of them for this summer! The first one was this past Sunday, June 12th: the Pulp Fiction con in Westlake, Ohio. Oscar and I (Sarah) had a lot of fun selling Thinklings' books and other cool merch!
May is AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander) Heritage Month, so I thought I'd put together a list of my favorite books by AAPI authors. These are mostly fantasy titles, since it's my favorite genre. Here we go. . . .

They're gaining some traction again, but time was, serial novels were a big deal in English-speaking countries. They were published in the newspapers (some more legitimate than others), and some of our best-beloved classics were first written that way--A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, for example. A mess of a novel if I've ever read one . . . From time to time, we poll our authors on their favorite books in a certain category. This time, we asked them about their favorite tales of myth and legend.
Here are their responses, in alphabetical order: |
